CMS Security
CMS Vulnerability Check
Detect exposed CMS versions (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) that may contain vulnerabilities. Learn how to hide this information to reduce the risk of targeted attacks.
What this test checks
This test detects your CMS version (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) via HTTP headers or meta tags. An exposed version allows attackers to identify known vulnerabilities and exploit them. Outdated CMSs are the leading cause of website intrusions.
Our recommendation
Hide your CMS version in headers and meta tags. For WordPress, remove the generator tag and disable the REST API that exposes information. Keep your CMS, themes, and plugins updated with the latest security patches. Use security plugins to monitor vulnerabilities and perform regular updates.
